Primary education Schools in Hyderabad are affiliated to either CBSE, SSC or ICSE, run by government aid or private (local governing bodies, individuals, missionaries or other agencies). An estimated strength of two third of students study at private school. In schools the medium of instruction is mostly English, Hindi, Urdu or Telugu. The pupil have to study for 10 years in schools, followed by 2 years in junior college, where they choose discipline for graduation program which is of 3-4 years. Admissions to professional colleges in Hyderbad is through Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).
