60-minute timer, and choice of toast shade

I use mine about twice or three times a week for the past two and a half years. I have a formica border from the 1980s that goes all the way back to where the oven stops. I clean it once a week, and so far, nothing bad has happened. Just keep an eye on it until you figure it out. I'm guessing it can get hot. Also, I never trust that the temperature will stay where it is set, because I usually fry or bake food at temperatures between 225 and 300 degrees, and I'm pretty good at it.
On top of mine are the extra pots, pans, and other things. Because the table is close to the sink, an old square microwave glass is placed on it to protect it from water. I also have a foil-lined oven rack to protect the wall behind it.
